| COLLECTOR PLATES |
| Collector License Plates (not for display on vehicles) Automobile tags that are returned to the Pawnee Nation Tax Commission may be purchased by individual collectors for display only in their personal license plate collection but NOT FOR RESALE. Below is a link to the form that must be completed upon purchasing a collector license plate. Collector Plate Affidavit These license plates were previously registered to and displayed on tribal members vehicles. These were special order personalized plates, plates with prefixes; PT (Pawnee Tribe), PN (Pawnee Nation), PC (Pawnee Commercial), PV (Pawnee Veteran), PF (Pawnee Farm) and TH (Trailer House), as well as the currently used format of the Red Wolfs head to the left of five numbers. The Pawnee Nation also issued Exempt (EX) plates to our governmental and law enforcement vehicles. Please note, these were previously displayed on vehicles and some plates may be damaged or have paint missing. Description of extent of any damage can be given over telephone or via email. Because there is only one of each choice available, you will have to contact us for availability and to place your order, in the event there is more than one request for the same item, the earlier request will have first consideration. . Collector Plates are $25.00 each All sales are subject to 8% sales tax and a $5.00 shipping and handling fee (additional shipping and handling charges apply to International shipments). Plates are sold as is, all sales are final. NO DEALERS PLEASE!!! License Plate Decals (not for display on vehicles) The Pawnee Nation Tax Commission can now offer to collectors license plate decals for prior years and months. The rates will be $5.00 each plus tax of $.40, plus a $1.60 shipping & handling fee (only on mailed decals), for a total of $7.00 if shipping in mail, and $5.40 if purchased in the office. | NUMBERED LICENSE PLATES The license plates currently being issued are numbered with the red wolf head emblem to the left of the numbers. The Tax Commission began issuing these type license plates in January of 2002. There have been approximately 1,661 issued, with 1,091 actively registered. |
| PC LICENSE PLATES Are currently being issued to eligible commercial business applicants. The Tax Commission began issuing these type license plates in 1997. There have been 59 PC plates issued with approximately 18 still actively registered. There are currently no Commercial plates available. Check back often. |
| PV LICENSE PLATES These license plates are currently being issued to eligible veteran applicants. The Tax Commission began issuing these type license plates in 1997. There have been 282 PV plates issued with 129 still actively registered. There are currently no Veterans plates available. Check back often. |
| PN LICENSE PLATES The PN license plates were issued betweeen November of 1999 and January of 2003. There were 984 issued and there are approximately 193 still actively registered. When the council (by tribal resolution) adopted the use of Nation instead of Tribe, the vehicle license plates were changed from PT to PN to reflect the change. |
| PT LICENSE PLATES The PT license plates were issued betweeen December of 1995 and November of 1999. There were 578 issued and there are 41 still actively registered. |
| Motorcycle License Plates The Pawnee Nation issued the first motorcycle license plate on September 4, 1996. To date there have been 43 motorcycle license plates issued by the Pawnee Nation, PT-01 (issued on Sept. 4, 1996) thru PT-10 and PN-11 (issued on May 22, 2003) thru PN-49. There are currently 23 actively registered motorcycles. There are currently no Motorcycle plates available for collectors. |

| Trailer House Plates The TH license plates are issued for Trailer Homes which must be transported to the setup location. The TH stands for Trailer House. To date there have been 4 license plates of this kind issued by the Pawnee Nation Tax Commission. The first plate was issued in May of 2000 and the most recent plate was issued in March 2003. There are currently no Trailer House plates available for collectors. |
| Exempt Plates The Pawnee Nation also issued Exempt (EX) plates to our governmental vehicles and law enforcement. The first Exempt plate was issued on February 24, 1998, there have been 44 plates issued with the most recent issued on January 24, 2007. There are currently 25 registered Exempt vehicles. There are currently no Exempt plates available for collectors. |
