Business Registration and Licensing
The Pawnee Nation Tax Commission registers and licenses new business
on the tribal reserve. Currently there are 32 business registered to do
business on the Pawnee Nation Tribal Reserve.
Use the Business Registration Packet (link below) to apply to establish a
New Business or Register/Update and Existing Business on the Pawnee
Nation Reserve, including Retail and Wholesale Cigarette License, Coin-
Operated Vending, Music and Amusement Devices, Distributor’s Vehicle
License, and Vendor Daily/Event Registration

- Individual must own or lease restricted Indian land.
- The land must be located within the jurisdictional boundaries of the
Pawnee Nation. - The land must be held in trust by the United States of America for the
benefit of the Pawnee Nation. - The applicant must have documents reflecting restricted status of
proposed site (if it is a lease) - The applicant must provide a map and photographs of proposed
site. - The applicant must provide specifications or photographs of store
and warehouse. - The applicant must obtain any additional consents, representations,
and waivers as required by the commission. - The applicant must obtain a lease application if applicable.
- The applicant must provide a non-refundable application fee.
